General Information
Welcome to Mrs. Morin's Science Page! Here, you will find information about my 6th grade classes. Typically, I will post one pdf file copy of completed lesson of our A/B cycle under the 6th Grade Science tab. If we do a lab and collect data as a class, I will attempt to post that data on this site to help each student remain current with peers when a lab is missed or the original student paperwork is "lost." Almost all handouts distributed in my classroom may be downloaded from the HAC accessible using the St. Mary's County Public School's website: http://www.smcps.org/hac, some handouts are available on this site as well.
We are using a new science workbook series this year. Each student will receive his/her own copy. Instructions for online access, shared with students in October, are posted above (science_text_electronic_access.pdf):
Space Science (online: Student Edition Module G)
Dynamic Earth (online: Student Edition Module E)
Earth's Water and Atmosphere (online: Student Edition Module F)

About Mrs. Morin:
- I was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, home of two presidents!
- I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland and my teaching certificate and masters degree (Master of Arts, Leadership in Teaching) through Notre Dame of Maryland University's graduate program.
- I am a "retired" recreational youth soccer coach.
- I am a New England Patriots fan!
- New England Patriots AFC Champs (Brady-Bellichek era): 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2011, 2014 & 2016 seasons.
- New England Patriots: Super Bowl CHAMPS - 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015 & 2017.
- They also played in four other Super Bowls (1985, 1996, 2007 and 2011 seasons)!
- I also cheer for the Tennessee Volunteers - soccer, football, and basketball. Go Vols. My excuse? Not a single school I attended had a football team! My daughter attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) where football is king, women's basketball is outstanding, and I love watching soccer.
